About Us

Funkybooks is a boutique Australian publisher of unique musical picture books, written and performed by Chris Collin, whose main aim is to help kids and adults have FUN!

Chris performs over 100 Events every year both in-person, and through Live Virtual Visits to literary festivals, libraries, schools, preschools and public events all over the globe. His role is to bring fun (and funkiness!) to the world, to encourage readers of all ages to ‘read for the joy of reading!‘

Our Books

Our books are utterly unique in the world of children’s picture book publishing. All of our books come with an incredible digital package of the narrated story to a full orchestral backing score plus a song, all performed by the author.

His shows and workshops are adapted to suit any age, as an incursion or an AWESOME Live Virtual Visit!

Funkybooks is made up of a small team of the funkiest people ever!

Chris Collin

Chris is a full time author and publisher of whacky, rhyming, Australian children’s books. He is also a presenter, bringing his funky author visits to festivals, schools, early learning centres, libraries and community events all over Australia. He even performs live virtual author visits to schools all around the world. There are no limits when it comes to fun and funkiness!

His aim is to bring laughter, joy (and general funkiness) into children’s lives whoever and wherever they are!

Chris has published five best selling titles to date – Funky Chicken: A Bushy Tale of Crocs and Chooks, A Bug Called Doug, Funky Chicken: Chooks in Space, Mission Incrocible and his latest release Blue Whale Poo.

Nadia Rabiller

Nadia previously worked in the disability industry for over 15 years on the Sunshine Coast in Queensland, Australia. Her skills are immeasurable.

Over these years she has also been actively involved in dozens of community projects and has been a strong voice and advocate within the disabled community and beyond.

She is a lady of great funkiness!
